Success can sometimes feel like an incredibly slow process. And that is 100% okay.
We've all heard the expression "slow and steady wins the race" but have you ever paused to think about what that means when it comes to building a business?
Social media has done a great job at making people believe that a business can explode and go from $0 to 5 or 6 figures (and more) in a very short time. That has left many with unrealistic expectations when it comes to business growth.
A successful business needs a solid foundation if it is going to be sustainable. What kind of a business would you rather own? One built quickly on a shaky foundation that may or may not be able to weather any storms or one built slowly, on a solid foundation, that is built to last?
Effective procedures and processes are not developed and implemented overnight. It can take time to find opportunities, decide which risks are worth taking and work through any resulting challenges. Additionally, it takes time to grow a great team.
Looking after your own business, your own team, or your own project can be exciting, fulfilling, and incredibly rewarding. It can also be hard, overwhelming, and exhausting.
We all know that gut feeling when you get excited and your stomach feels like it fills with butterflies. Or that sinking feeling when something just doesn't feel right. As humans, we're built with these instincts in order to help us survive. For example, not every connection will be ideal for you or your business and being mindful of these gut feelings are essential for your business success. Trust that these connections, no matter weather they turn out amazing or awful, are there for your learning, development, and growth.
Our intuition can help us make better decisions and provide essential learning that contributes to building our internal strength, and resilience in order for us to survive with more wisdom moving forward.
Small steps are still indicative of progress! It is okay to not bring in $1M in a month. It is not even close to realistic to expect it.
So, "Trust the Process", trust yourself, be open to guidance, and always be open to learn and adapt. "Your time will come".
